I’ve been fascinated with the radio since childhood, recalling like yesterday getting a bright blue transistor radio for my 10th birthday. In my early teens, my grandpa introduced me to a disc jockey at KGY radio station in Olympia, Washington, who showed me the intriguing electronics behind the music. As a young adult, I wanted to get into radio broadcasting or journalism; instead, became a transactional paralegal. But—dreams do come true! I’m thrilled to be sharing my passion for music on KXFM on my monthly co-hosting gig with DJ John Ford. As for journalism, I became a columnist for a local magazine, which lead me to write published short stories and personal essays, and children’s book, Two Cats, a Mermaid and the Disappearing Moon. I’ve been a Laguna Beach resident since 2004, and live with my sassy cat, Samantha Jo.
