    About the Show

Since KXFM first went on the air in October of 2012, we have had the privilege of interviewing incredible people who, in one way or another, have all contributed to what I would call Humanity’s Great Awakening in the midst of an era of great doubt, despair, and cynicism. In other words, I feel our show addresses the most important topic of our time: How do we find our way back to love, reverence, forgiveness and peace? If you are not already a listener of our program, I invite you to tune in. We call our show a “conversation to raise the vibration,” and we would be honored for you to be a part of the discussion.

When KXFM was born in 2012 and one of my best friends, Eric Rankin, asked me to be his first guest on air, I was ALL IN. Many years ago, I heard the words, “Conscious Collaboration without Competition IS the way through.” As a community supported radio station focused on demonstrating the simple beauty of a “Unity through Community” model and how important that is to the future of our world, it feels like the perfect fit for our Awakening Code Radio show where we encourage conversations to Heal the Divide through Love, Compassion, Peace, Respect and being GOOD HUMANS. Give our show a listen and hear why some call Eric and Michelle, “Pied Pipers of FUN”!… And meet our behind the scenes wizard who completes our magical trine, Admin Colleen.

Though I’ve only been a full-time Laguna Beach resident for the past 11 years, I have considered this magical place my second home since the 1960s. Back then, my parents brought me here often for weekend vacations, then for longer stays at the Treasure Island trailer park, where they co-owned a double-wide coach with a view that only guests of the ritzy Montage Hotel can appreciate today. But for all its natural beauty, what captivated me most about Laguna was the feeling I got from its unique community of artists, friendly and bombastic characters (Eiler Larson being the most famous), and peace-loving hippies. What I recognize and am most grateful for today is the significant role this town played in forming my sense of spirituality. For me, this is where the best of humanity converged, and being a good human is what we invite every listener of Awakening Code Radio – a weekly show I co-host with Michelle Anderson – to strive to be.
