    About the Host

    Ritchie Schley

Cycling is a passion that Richie translated into a career. After a career in BMX Racing and being awarded Canadian BMX Champion in 1993, he moved on to mountain bike and skiing.

As a pioneer of Free-skiing in Canada and with a background in BMX, the next move was to combine the 2 sports, to create Free-ride Mountain biking. Soon after Richie was inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame, for his contributions to the sport.

Richie has been featured in many mountain bike and ski films, magazine covers and features, ad campaigns and all forms of media around the globe. A new category of mountain biking required new types of; bikes, components, clothing and safety equipment that would withstand the demands of this activity.

Richie has worked with several brands over the past 26 years, developing hard goods, soft goods and finding the necessary safety solutions to improve the rider experience in the sport.

    Jason Schiers
Cycling is a passion that I translated into a career. I grew up riding BMX and road bikes, eventually found and fell in love with mountain biking.

As a young person I started my first company at 19 and found my love of entrepreneurship. Years later I got the good fortune of pairing my love of business with my love of bikes. Which has lead me around the world, met amazing people and created some insane memories within the bike world.

I have created some amazing products and contributed to some very cool brands. Ground-breaking brands and products have always been the goal, some examples are: First carbon clincher, first carbon mountain bike wheel, contributions to Reynolds, EDGE/ENVE, Crankbrothers’s, and now leading the efforts at GT Bicycles.

I have been in the industry for 25 years, playin and hangin with some of the coolest and most fun people in the industry. I look forward to sharing thoughts, stories, and insight from inside the community.
