Albert Hammond Jr.has certainly made a name for himself since diverging from the Strokes, quickly becoming a frequent flyer on KX93.5. His fourth solo album, Momentary Masters, will be released July 31. With titles like “Drunched in Bread Crumbs” and “Side Boob”, this new release is expected to flaunt Hammond’s renowned fun and upbeat style. Its lead single, “Born Slippy”, is probably the song stuck in your head all day, but maybe that’s just me. And, interestingly, the album will also feature a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice”. Though it maintains Hammond’s lighthearted legacy, it also takes some interesting leaps into diversity. If you can’t get enough Albert Hammond Jr, see him live at the Observatory October 13th.
