About the Show

The “Grant Owens” show marks a return to KXFM for Grant, who hosted “We Found New Music” from 2012 to 2015. This new show combines a spotlight on emerging musical talent with carefully curated classics from around the world. He is dedicated to discovering and supporting innovative and unsigned artists, while highlighting the best of more established talent. As in his previous show, Grant will continue to feature interviews and live, in-studio performances. Grant has presented, early in their careers, such performers as Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, The 1975, and many others.

About the Host

Grant Owens is the Founder of We Found New Music (a groundbreaking artist discovery platform), an A&R for the “Soundsplore” app (dedicated to independent artists), and a Talent Scout providing A&R services to the music industry.

He has served in a variety of talent-promotion and curation roles: A&R Talent Scout at Elektra Records; Casting Producer for America’s Got Talent; Creative Director at the Peppermint Club in West Hollywood; and Production Coordinator for Universal Music.

Since 2014, WFNM has presented weekly live showcases in Los Angeles at popular venues including the Sunset Boulevard go-to venue, Hotel Ziggy, the intimate Bar Lubitsch, the legendary Troubadour, and speak-easy venue Madame Siam.

WFNM has presented official SXSW showcases in Austin, Texas, since 2015. Key highlights include Kim Petras’ first live show; Sam Fender’s second US show; an early show in Billie Eilish’s career; and key performances by The Marias, Flyana Boss, and Dermot Kennedy.

Grant’s additional promotional activities have included a biweekly radio show, on LA’s award-winning ‘The Socal Sound’ on 88.5 FM, which features live performances and interviews with new artists.
